LifeHackBox — Terms & Conditions
Policy draft — new orders are paused while legal seller details are completed. Existing customers retain their original purchase terms and statutory rights.
Version prepared: 31 October 2026. Draft status: not yet the final terms for new purchases.
1. Who we are
LifeHackBox is the store name. The legal seller identity, geographical business address and any applicable company and VAT registration details are being confirmed before new orders open. The manufacturer and UK representative named in the espresso product information are not identified here as the seller of this shop.
Customer support: hello@lifehackbox.com and our contact page. For return instructions and the appropriate return address, message us with your available purchase details. Do not send returns to a manufacturer or representative address printed on a product label.
These terms cover consumer purchases of physical goods through our website. Product-specific terms, the description shown when you order and the delivery and returns information form part of your purchase agreement. Nothing here removes rights that the law gives you. If a policy or product term conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, that right prevails.
2. Products and information before purchase
The product page identifies the model or variant, its main characteristics, included items, price and any relevant compatibility or safety information. Accessories or props shown for illustration are included only where the listing says so; images must not contradict the written description or misrepresent the goods.
Screen settings may affect how colours look. We will not substitute a materially different product, specification or variant without your agreement. If we cannot provide the product ordered, we will explain the available options and refund any payment for an unfulfilled order without undue delay.
3. Ordering and your contract
Orders are placed in English. Before paying, check and correct the product, quantity, delivery address and total price. You must be legally able to enter into the purchase and authorised to use the payment method.
Submitting an order is your offer to buy. An automatic order-received email acknowledges receipt. Unless we expressly accept earlier in a separate confirmation, we accept your order and the sales contract is formed when we send a dispatch confirmation. We remain responsible for applicable pre-contract obligations and cancellation rights before dispatch.
We may refuse an order before acceptance for a genuine reason such as unavailable stock, an address we cannot serve or a reasonably suspected unauthorised payment. We will explain where reasonably possible and refund payment for an order we do not accept. A later price increase does not change an accepted order.
We will provide the order details and applicable terms by email or another format you can keep. Please retain them.
4. Prices, payment and charges
The currency is the one clearly identified in the product listing and at checkout. We will show the total price, including applicable taxes and delivery charges or how they are calculated, before you commit to pay. We will identify any other foreseeable charges before purchase. Optional extras require your express agreement.
If you pay in a different currency, your payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or fees. Payment is taken using the methods offered at checkout. We will not require an extra payment to correct a pricing error after acceptance. If we identify an obvious error before acceptance, we will contact you so you can choose whether to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a refund.
5. Delivery and responsibility for your parcel
The destinations, charges and delivery estimate applying to your product are shown before purchase. Where a dispatch estimate is shown, we will make clear whether it is included in the delivery window. A working day means Monday to Friday, excluding relevant public holidays.
We will deliver within the agreed period. If no period is agreed, delivery must take place without undue delay and within 30 calendar days of the contract being made. If delivery is late, you may ask us to deliver within an appropriate additional period. If we still fail, you may end the contract and receive the refund due. You may be entitled to end it immediately if we refuse delivery or timely delivery was essential in the circumstances and communicated as required by law.
Goods remain at our risk until you, or a person you nominate other than the carrier, take physical possession. The legal exception where you independently commission a carrier we did not offer remains applicable. A tracking scan alone does not override your legal rights. Contact us promptly about a missing or damaged parcel; you do not have to wait 45 days to report it.
Please provide an accurate address and tell us promptly about corrections. We will discuss any reasonable, evidenced extra cost caused by a customer-requested redelivery before charging it. Carrier, supplier or customs delays do not automatically remove your rights against us.
6. Your right to cancel a distance purchase
For ordinary goods bought online, you can cancel without giving a reason from the time you order until the end of 14 calendar days after the day you receive the goods. For goods in one order delivered separately, the period normally ends 14 days after receipt of the last item, subject to the statutory rules for instalments and regular deliveries.
Tell us by a clear statement at hello@lifehackbox.com, through our contact form or in writing to our cancellation address before the deadline. You may use the form below, but you do not have to. An order number helps us locate the purchase; it is not a condition that removes your right to cancel. Dispatch does not end the cancellation right. If a parcel cannot be stopped, we will explain how to return it.
Return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after telling us you are cancelling, unless we offer to collect them. Contact us for practical return instructions; a valid cancellation does not depend on obtaining our approval first.
You pay the direct cost of a change-of-mind return only if we informed you of that obligation before purchase. If we did not, we bear that cost. For goods that cannot normally be returned by post, any required return-cost information will be disclosed before purchase. We cover reasonable return costs when legally responsible for faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.
You may inspect goods as you would reasonably do in a shop. We may make an evidenced deduction for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, where legally permitted and where the required cancellation information was supplied. Opening ordinary packaging does not automatically remove cancellation rights. Any legally applicable exception must be clearly explained before purchase; we do not apply a blanket hygiene exclusion to all kitchen products.
7. Refunds following cancellation
For a cancelled purchase, we refund the amount due, including the cost of our least expensive standard outward delivery option. The extra cost of a premium option you chose need not be refunded.
We refund without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after being informed of cancellation. Unless we offered to collect, we may withhold the refund until we receive the returned goods or you provide evidence of sending them back, whichever is earlier. Where that withholding rule applies, the refund will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after that event.
Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, and we do not charge a refund fee. Your bank may need additional time to display the credit; this does not extend our deadline for issuing it.
8. Our additional 30-day change-of-mind policy
In addition to your legal cancellation rights, you may notify us of a change-of-mind return within 30 calendar days after delivery. For requests first made after the statutory cancellation period, return the product within 14 days of your request, complete with included accessories and in a clean, resalable condition. Original packaging is appreciated where reasonably available.
You pay direct return postage for this additional policy if disclosed before purchase. After receiving and checking an eligible return under this additional policy, we will issue the product-price refund within 14 calendar days. This additional benefit does not impose extra conditions on statutory cancellation or faulty-goods rights, and does not promise unrestricted use of the product as a trial.
9. Faulty, damaged, wrong or misdescribed goods
Goods must meet the standards required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where it applies, including satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose made known to and accepted by us, and conformity with their description.
You normally have a 30-day short-term right to reject goods that fail those standards and obtain a refund. Depending on when the fault appears and the circumstances, you can require a repair or replacement, subject to the legal rules on impossibility and disproportionate cost. We must provide that remedy at no charge, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. If the legal conditions are met, including where a repair or replacement fails, you may obtain a price reduction or exercise a final right to reject.
A defect appearing within the first six months is generally presumed to have existed on delivery unless we establish otherwise or that presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or fault. Six months is not a blanket expiry of your rights.
Contact us with available proof of purchase and a description of the issue. Photos or video may help where reasonable, but an unboxing video or original packaging is not an absolute condition of your legal remedy. We bear reasonable return costs where the law requires. A rejection refund will be issued without undue delay and within 14 days after we agree you are entitled to it, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. Any deduction on final rejection is limited to what the law permits.
10. Additional guarantees
An additional commercial warranty applies only if we expressly offer it for your product and provide its terms. It does not replace, shorten or restrict your legal rights against us. A supplier certificate, laboratory report or CE marking is not a commercial guarantee or a promise that a product will never fail.
11. Safe use and product support
Follow the supplied instructions and product-specific safety information. Stop using a product if it appears unsafe and contact us. Damage caused by misuse may fall outside an additional warranty, but we assess the cause and your statutory rights in each case. We do not automatically reject every claim because a seal was opened or troubleshooting was attempted.
12. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of the contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. For consumer purchases, the goods are supplied for domestic and private use; we do not accept liability for business losses to the extent the law permits.
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, defective products where liability cannot be excluded, or any other liability or consumer right the law does not allow us to exclude. We do not impose a blanket cap limiting all consumer claims to the product's purchase price.
13. Website content and reviews
Use the website lawfully and do not attempt unauthorised access, introduce malware or disrupt other users. Website content belongs to us or our licensors; you may view it and retain purchase information for personal use.
Reviews must reflect a real experience and respect others' rights. Posting a review allows us to display it with the identifying details you choose to make public. We will obtain appropriate separate permission before using a customer's photograph, video or review in advertising beyond that display. We do not invent reviews or make positive feedback a condition of support.
14. Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains the processing of personal data and our Cookies Policy explains relevant browser technologies. Transaction messages about an order are separate from marketing communications. Buying from us does not by itself constitute blanket consent to marketing. You retain applicable data-protection and payment-dispute rights.
15. Complaints and disputes
Please contact hello@lifehackbox.com with your complaint and available order details. We aim to respond within 1–2 working days. You are welcome to contact us first so we can help, but this is not a condition that prevents you from using a card-provider dispute process, a statutory remedy, an appropriate regulator or a court.
If we cannot resolve a complaint, we will provide any information about alternative dispute resolution that the law requires, including whether we are obliged or willing to participate. These terms do not require compulsory private arbitration or restrict access to a court where the law allows you to bring a claim.
16. Applicable law and changes
Mandatory law determines your consumer protections and the courts available to you. No provision here removes protections that apply in your place of habitual residence where the law makes those protections mandatory.
We may update these terms for future orders. The terms provided when you order continue to apply to that order unless you agree otherwise or a change is required by law. If a term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply where legally possible.
